  • Your preferences with respect to email marketing;
  • Financial information, including credit card numbers, bank or customer account information and, in connection with credit requests, National Insurance Numbers or other national/tax identification numbers;

OUR USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will use your personal data only for the purposes set out below.

Except as otherwise allowed by this policy, Techlift will not trade, sell or rent personal information, but may collect, or provide aggregate statistics about its websites and their users to other parties who do not provide services directly to Techlift.

Business & Website Improvement:

We may use your personal data to improve our website, including the improvement of security of our website and information technology systems, and related products and/or services, or to make our website more accessible by eliminating the need for users to repeatedly enter the same information, or by customising our website to a user’s particular preference.

Marketing Communications and Research:

With your permission, we may use your personal data for conducting market research. This may include informing you of products and/or services available from Techlift. When collecting information that might be used to contact you about our products and/or services, we will give you the opportunity to opt-out from receiving such communications.

Each email Techlift sends will include an “unsubscribe” link, allowing you to stop delivery of that kind of communication.

Regulatory and Legal Obligations:

We may use your personal data to protect Techlift, its employees and business counter-parties against fraud and other criminal activity, to co-operate with law enforcement and other regulatory agencies.

We may also use your personal data when exercising and defending our legal rights and legal claims made against us.

Except in rare circumstances where Techlift is required by law to disclose or otherwise process your personal information, Techlift will only process your personal information as necessary for the purposes explained to you when the information is collected or otherwise set out in this policy.

  • Techlift’s compliance with a legal obligation to which Techlift is subject. Techlift has a duty to investigate and respond to complaints and legal allegations made against it and may need to process your personal information in relation to such claims.

PERSONAL DATA DISCLOSURE

Except as described below, personal data that you provide to Techlift will not be shared outside of Techlift without your consent.

Techlift may share your personal information to technology and other service providers, including professional advisors, who hold and process the information on its behalf.

Techlift may also disclose your personal information if it has a good faith belief that doing so is necessary for the legal and compliance purposes set out above. For these purposes, Techlift may, for example, disclose information about you to courts and litigation counterparties, insurers, the police and other competent government authorities.

In connection with certain transactions, Techlift may disclose some or all of the personal data you provide to financial institutions, government entities and shipping companies or postal services involved in fulfilling the transaction.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Techlift may transfer personal information that it collects through its website to, and store such information in, countries other than the country from which that information was initially collected or the countries from which individual site visitors may access the website.

The countries, including the United Kingdom and Australia, to which we transfer your personal information may have different data protection laws than the countries from which the information was initially collected or from which individual site visitors access the website.

By choosing to use the Techlift website and to submit personal data to us through the website, you consent to the transfer of such information outside of your country.
